[ The watchdog programme was interesting, and alarming! Many people would have felt quite concerned having watched it.Where was the site inspection on these cases?Where is the pride either in the job or in the quality of the end product people are buying? As a national housebuilder Westbury should be doing all it can for these customers. It will be interesting to see how these cases are resolved.

Westbury - in addition to the Watchdog programme they have featured in Which? magazine with an article about shodddy workmanship and poor customer care. There is also a website put up by another disillusioned buyer where other people all describe the same thing: Westbury just want your money. My place wasn't finished on completion day and twelve months later it still isn't. I'm talking real faults, not just snags, and I can't get anyone interested in finishing it.

What is the URL of the Web site? I'll add it to the links section.

Have you contacted the NHBC, local trading standards and your solicitor?

I couldn't find anything about Westbury Homes, just an article warning buyers not to use the solicitors recommended by the developers. Good advice.

alternatively, type the following three words - telegraph westbury angmering - into google and read a precis of the story on the daily telegraph's website. It's a pity if the origibal house buyers' website has been taken down - it made very intersting reading and showed westbury in a very poor light

Andy the guy who created the site may have signed a gagging order and rather than bringing the site down redirected it here.

However, luckily it has been cached by the Web Archive, which is snapshotting the Internet to record our history. Funded by the Getty Foundation I believe. Anyway, his site is here:
