How bad is unacceptable?

Are there any published tolerances, as I belive ours may be out of them...

Has anyone previously raised this as a snagging issue?

No, Brick and block construction, prob 60-70mm variation overall...

Not sure if there are any guidelines, but in the (your) snagging form, it says to get professional advice...

The NHBC are vague about it:

Perpend alignment in external walls
Vertical alignment of perpend joints
should not deviate signifi cantly from the
perpendicular.
Commentary

Because bricks do vary in length
as a result of their manufacturing
process, not all perpend joints will
align. However, there should not be
a cumulative displacement of the

perpend joints in a wall.

The first thing to do is to raise the complaint with the builder and then the NHBC, with the builder use the "would you be hppy if it were your home apprach". Get everything in writing and ideally have a witness when they attend. Nest step is to escalate to the NHBC.

The pobem is due to the construction method the remedy is costly, they will not do fix this easily.
