Well.... Plain and simple does anyone have these or know what they are??!!

We first noticed them on the woodwork within our home and now we are noticing them on the walls also!

We have asked the site and they say they are plaster mites but should not be there if the house is fully dried out and told us to use a dehumidifier and that done nothing.

Do we need Pest control??

I would contact environmental health and see what they advise before the little blighters breed and take over your house.:(

You need help, don't wait

Never heard of these before so it's a new one for the list.
The site manager is first port of call he should get you the help, good luck with that one our site manager was an ex forklift driver so I hope you have better luck.
You should report it to environmental health and Customer Care for help but I'm sure Customer Care won't have a clue.

I have been in touch with Customer Care and they say its nothing to do with them! Which then resulted in the 'manager' shouting and being aggressive on the phone to me!

I have since been told by 'Rentokil' that these are Booklice (plaster mites) and occur when plaster is painted or wallpapered before the moisture is out of it!

This is more than likely the whole reason for them in my property as we were very much rushed in last December so therefore the plaster had no time to dry before they painted it!!

I am furious at the level of customer service i have received and will be taking this issue further!!

Thanks for the advice

Which is worse plaster bugs or Persimmon customer care?

Being shouted at by customer care managers is simply unexceptable, write to the Persimmon MD to complain about that. You should also get in touch with the NHBC first because they provide the warranty and it sounds like a building quality issue they would deal with.
After that do you have legal help via your home insurance policy? You need to have had the same home insurance policy in place since you purchased because they won't help if you didn't.

Good luck, I'm thinking you will need it, Persimmon (Charles Church) are the pits to deal with
