My neighbour has a path to his and next door's bungalow which has 3 steps (with rail). (There is also 3 steps and a rail in the alleyway to the back garden of the bungalows (where they are meant to store their bins). These are new build bungalows. On querying why the developer didn't - in accordance with Part M of the Building regulations - provide a level path from the car parking bays to the bungalows which could have been easily done across a communal area grass verge of about 3 metres they replied that the NHBC had signed the bungalows off. Did the NHBC get it wrong? If so, is there some way to get this sorted with the NHBC and if so, how would my neighbour go about it? Thanks in advance for replies and help.
