Near where I live there are several David Wilson sites and they aren't selling too well. In fact I've noticed in the last 2-3 months they have reduced the prices on 3 different house types twice so perhaps word is getting around because of websites such as this one.
There are several web sites devoted to the David Wilson Homes experience. I myself will be posting to this forum within the month.
However I do see from another forum that David Wilson Homes Bristol have so many quality problems that they are to stop new build until they are sorted out. My own contacts tell me they have nine months to do this although this is just hearsay and would need to be checked. When the nine months starts I don't know as this company would appear to have had poor quality and poor management for a long while.
My own advice is not to buy from them as it will simply encourage them to build more.
I made some enquiries regarding the David Wilson homes in my particular area and phase 2 has been put on hold for the time being because phase 1 aren't selling too well despite them being reduced in price.

David Wilson buyers have as much to complain about as any other housebuilders.
But they are Barratt and most will use the Barratt category in forums.
Barratt do have a better attitude with customer care than most housebuilders, but they can also be as obstructive too.
Probably do whatever buyers want until after the 8-week survey has been sent in.
They then move on to the next batch of new occupant's snags.
