Persimmon Internet Fight! Help!

New Build Inspections

Persimmon ignored my snagging for months until I set up the website below and put the snagging list online:
www.pishsimmon.com
Now they are working through the snags but still have not finished them.
I have had the website host forward an email from Persimmon demanding my website be taken down as the snags are 'complete'. Persimmon claim I have told them they are complete and because of this the website should be removed by the host! The snags are not complete or signed off!
I need help, anyone know an internet lawyer who can advise? I will pay, I just want to know it is good advice.
In the meantime visit my website while you can! Over 2,500 hits in less than 3 months so far!

Update your site detailing how long it took them to deal with each snag and they can't complain - keep it factually accurate and they can't do anything and make sure there are no libellous statements

One developer wrote to Google trying to get entries from this site removed from the search results, pretty arrogant.

That is reassuring Tony, Thanks.
Since that email from Persimmon stating my snags are complete I have replied to an email from ITV1.
They want to do a story for a consumer program about housebuilders. I was not going to do the story until Persimmon started being underhand.
I have already been interviewed by a reporter on behalf of the Readers Digest. The story will be out in a few months, I guess it takes a while with a worldwide publication. With the Readers Digest I agreed to the interview as long as the website www.pishsimmon.com has a mention in the article. They agreed to this.
I await Persimmons next threat with anticipation. I wanted to put all of this behind me, but they want it all there own way.
Thanks,
Steve.

I must say that I'm very happy in my 5 year old Persimmon Home. Would you like to put that on your website?

I take it you wouldnt scald your kids if you flush a toilet when they use the shower despite having a 'Mains Pressure' water system? That your roof was actually screwed down? That your lintels werent cracked? That after six months your roof tiles are still not secured? That you did not have electric wires hanging all over the kitchen when you moved in etc etc etc.
I guess the Watchdog stories and snagging stories here are all made up? That the OFT are looking into housebuilders for no reason?
Put your satisfaction with Persimmon in your own website and see how much support you acheive.
Why on earth do you think this forum is so busy?
Regards,
Steve.

All I can say is I'm happy. I'm sorry to hear of your problems and hope they get resolved. What I can't understand is did you not inspect the property before legal completion and if so why instruct your solicitor to complete?

I could carry on this debate with you and achieve nothing. I dont want to get too bogged down in a discussion with someone who obviously works for a housebuilder.
Did you check all the lights worked the last time you bought a new car? Did you drive it to the local MOT station before you paid?
I genuinely wish everyone could be as happy with a new house purchase as you. Is it 60% of people purchasing a new build are dissatisfied?
It is worth also pointing out though that a worker on this site told me that if a Persimmon employee is moving into a new build the tradesmen are told there must be no snagging. The property MUST be done to the highest standard. One rule for one.......

With reference to Persimmon demanding that the website host remove my website www.pishsimmon.com
I have had confirmation from the host that they will not get involved in disputes and will not act as intermediaries.
I have updated the site to keep things correct and await Persimmons next move....

Hi Steve

firstly well done with your website, it is obviously having an affect!!!!

Secondly I couldn't agree more with your conclusion that RTFishall works for a developer, that is such a typical response that I have come to expect, but keep up the fight!!!

Cheers

Gary

No, I don't work for a developer and never have. This site was pointed out to me by a friend as typical of the moaning society we have today. One thing I can be sure of, I bet you would not sell your home back to Persimmon at the price you paid for it, even if they added 10%. No one ever complains that the value has gone up!

This site was pointed out to you as 'Typical of the moaning society we have today'? What are you doing exactly if it is not moaning about moaning???
If you did not work for a housebuilder and you hated moaners you would not have moaned back in return.

As for selling back, I would not have bought this house if I new the problems, even if it was £100,000 less in price. I value quality of life more than the pound. No matter what squabbling reply you send to me, it is obvious to all what your motives are. Mine are to sort snags in my family home.
Regards,
Steve.

Sir Patrick Moore - Astronomer wrote 'Twitmarsh File and Bureaucrats: How to Annoy Them' under the pseudonym RT Fishall.

I would ignore this RT Fishall and don't respond - he obviously has nothing of any value to help you.

Stick to people who have experienced similar problems and resolved them - thats exactly what this site is for.
