I’m considering concrete raising for a sunken driveway and walkway around my home, and I’d like advice from people with experience. What factors should I evaluate before choosing a contractor, and how can I tell whether concrete raising is a better option than full replacement?

Are there specific warning signs that indicate underlying soil or drainage problems that should be addressed first? I’m also curious about the expected lifespan, maintenance requirements, costs, and potential risks of the process.

Totally worth it, go for it over replacement every time. Get a contractor who checks for drainage issues first, make sure your slab is not too cracked to save, and if you are serious about a long term fix then concrete raising is the method most experienced contractors will recommend over mudjacking for longer lasting results. Cost is a fraction of replacement and you get same day use. Satisfied with mine, would recommend it.
