Is a Pocket Spring Mattress Worth It for Everyday Comfort?

I'm thinking about replacing my current mattress and have been looking at a pocket spring mattress. I've read that the individually wrapped springs can provide better support and reduce motion transfer, which sounds great since my partner and I have different sleeping habits.

For those who own one, how has it held up over time? Is it comfortable for side and back sleepers, and does it stay supportive after a few years of use? I'd also like to know if there are any drawbacks, such as weight, maintenance, or price.

I've been using one for several years, and it's been a solid investment. The biggest advantage is that each spring moves independently, so when my partner gets in or out of bed, I barely notice it. After switching to a Pocket Spring mattress, I found it provides excellent support while still feeling comfortable, especially for side and back sleeping. The support has held up well over time, although I chose a quality model with a decent comfort layer.

The main drawbacks are that these mattresses can be heavier than foam mattresses, making them harder to move or rotate. They're also usually more expensive, but the durability often makes up for the higher initial cost. I recommend rotating it every few months if the manufacturer suggests it, as this helps promote even wear. If possible, try a few models in person since the comfort layers can make two mattresses feel very different. Overall, I'd buy one again without hesitation.
