We bought our new home a year and a half ago and the draught from the windows is terrible and rooms especially the two back bedrooms are really cold.
The window company have been out they changed the beading but have advised it is the vents they can fit a rubber seal around them which would help but it would have to be authorised by persimmon.
I asked them about this and the customer service manager had advised me that they will not do this if I wanted I could pay myself to have this done.
Has anyone else had the same issues.
Also our front door has an outer skin if metal burning hot to touch in the summer freezing in the winter.
Again numerous issues with cold and draughts through the door
Our first years gas bill was approx 600.00 that was for four hours away we have had the door adjusted the framework has had work on it I had another visit from the customer service manager the other day and he used a joss stick to check for draughts he advised nothing wrong with the door but it was not windy or very cold the day he came.
Has anyone had the same issues with their door.
We are thinking of getting an independent surveyor out to check our home and do a full report.
Did anyone watch dispatches on new build homes if not try and watch it, it is very interesting.
