    Hello guys,
I'm looking to purchase a new build property in the Oxfordshire area and I have recently found the Heyford Park development.

Unfortunately I cannot find any information regarding the build company? Does anyone know the reputation of Dorchester Living or the build quality at Heyford Park?

I was tempted to look at some Persimmon homes in Bicester until I read this forum.

    Cheers

Have you been to that site in person?

    Hello deadeye,
Yes, I have visited but a few months ago. What are your opinions on the site?

Don't buy unless the home has an NHBC warranty.
Get it independently snagged and inspected.
and don't use the builder's choice of solicitor!

    Well done for avoiding Persimmon!

Hello NHE, thanks for the advice. We have decided not to go for the Dorchester Living development due to them not being NHBC registered or having the NHBC warranty. They actually used a company called Premier guarantee. Any thoughts on these guys?

We have currently turned our attention to a Linden development in Bicester or a Miller development in Steventon. Any thoughts on Linden or Miller?

    Thanks

In my opinion both LABC and Premier Guarantee are inferior to the NHBC warranty.
Any house builder not offering an NHBC warranty is probably not good enough to be on their register!

    Regards Linden, I would avoid.
Miller on the other hand are normally quite good regarding quality.
Five star rated since 2012. Linden just 4 star rated since 2011!

Try to buy on a Miller site with a site manager who has won NHBC Quality Awards.

Is a four star rating really so bad? I only ask because we are leaning towards the Linden home due to it being detached and with a better specification than the Miller home.

When five star is possible a house builder that has failed to improve at all during the last SIX YEARS should be avoided.
    As I said avoid Linden!
