Brick Missing

Hi all,

We moved into our house last June so nearly a year ago.

Last night my neighbour pointed out that we were missing a brick just below our roof and their side so no way we could have seen it.

The missing brick is right underneath the roof on the corner of the house.

My partner thought she heard something in the wall at odd times but presumed a may have been plaster falling down due to shrinkage etc.
Obviously now thinking it was probably birds that have gotten in. I have spoke to the builder (Keepmoat) who say they will brick it up straight away.

My worry is that it was open all winter could this have caused any damage, also I am entitled to anything as heat must have been escaping through it all winter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

they need to get a camera in there and have a good look around before closing up the brickwork

its unlikely theirs any major damage , be there exists a possibility , and especially or birds or rodent infestation .....they just love insulation to nest in
