Bad Persimmon Homes Customer Care Service

New Build Inspections
Persimmon Homes Customer Service is really bad. I feel that I have to battle with them in order to get things done. The customer service management team is very elegant and they are not very helpful, especially Mr Roger Nicholas (the head of customer care). The employees from Persimmon told me that Persimmon Homes has target time to complete building houses, so the builders normally ignore issues while building houses and then let the customer service team to sort out issues when clients complain. The repair team from customer service also complains that the Persimmon management team from customer service treats them badly and also they are very mean to them. I do not know if the chairman of Persimmon is aware of the issue from its Customer Service.

Unfortunately its all about the money! The chairman wont care as long as the profits are good! And the profits are good as people ignore forums like this and keep buying their poor quality and badly designed houses! If a local builder behaved the way persimmon do, he'd soon be out of business, yet people think big reputable builder equals trust and good! No, its all about fling them up cheap and let other worry about the snags! We've got your money. Next!!

Hello all.

I've been dealing with persommon's poor client care too. I've had been reading bad reviews about them before reservation but unfortunately I did not had a choice as there were no other new builds near where I work. Also the other developers were as notorious too. So these being said and the fact that I got my mortgage through on HTB I was compelled to get a new build. Went to the site office and show home, all shining and the staff were all smiles. After reserving however... the mushroom treatment - kept in the dark and feed bullshit. Numerous time I caught the sales woman lying, was not called back when promised etc. For example I've been told that there are soakaways (as the garden is slightly sloped toward the house) and because I don't trust them I've instructed my solicitors to get this in writing... Surprise-surprise!!! Their solicitors replied that there are no soakaways as there is no need for them. So why lie to me?? So this been said, I've lost all my trust in them.
This Monday I was told that I need to exchange and complete by Friday (after going 1 month over reservation date because of their head office they suddenly want it done in 5 days). After I've told them that I want to do a snag list before signing anything(as I don't trust them anymore) they've fussed and said that the snagging is done at exchanging with their staff present. Is this ok? I feel that after I'll sign I'll never hear from them again.
Overall experience with buying our first home - TERRIBLE!(not only the developers but the solicitors and financial advisers too) I would walk away withaout a tought but I'll lost approx 1000 pounds I've paid in fees by now. Should of staid in rented.
Thanks for your answers.
