Acceptable Brickwork?

New Build Inspections

I would be interested to hear opinions on the attached image of my adjoining garage brickwork.

With the exception of the lower course of bricks, laid when the rest of the house was built, the remainder of the garage has different colour bricks and mortar. Is this acceptable?

The pointing also looks really poor. There is also what looks like a metal pin visible within the mortar.

Thanks in advanceF50A4BC8-693A-4A7C-A81B-265502480BA8.jpeg

Mortar colour below dpc will always be a different colour as the mix is designed to be working underground or wet conditions

The pic you sent is not the tidiest of workmanship either.. But seen worse

The Nhbc produce a booklet called a guide to good brickwork
If your still not happy get someone in who knows what they are looking at

See pic enc
