Persimmon - multiple issues
We bought our Persimmon apartment in sept 2006 and the problems have been endless. The washing machine waste pipe was not connected properly and leaked which meant we had to have all of our flooring replaced in the lounge, kitchen and spare room - it took 6 months to get persimmon to do this. The site manager took up our kitchen vinyl and said he would allow the floor to dry and he would take the flooring into an empty house to dry out. It was subsequently stolen by a contractor according to the site manager.
The leak flooded our spare room including the walk in wardrobe damaging 3 xmas gifts I had placed in there. The customer service manager would not replace them witout receipts which sadly I had not kept (my mistake.)
The sink and washing machine units in the kitchen had to be replaced as they had blown and swollen from being so wet for so long - this also took ages.
We then had a second leak and the carpets and flooring were replaced again but the kitchen flooring was not the one we had chosen.
We were also promised that the communal staircase would be painted when all the apts were sold - it remains filthy like a building site despite all apts being bought over 12 months ago.
Something petty? My parking space is next in the corner hence it has kerb down one side and accross the fornt. When it rains all the water gathers there and my car sits in 4 inches of water which I have to stand in to get out of my car.
The aerial socket in our bedroom is not connected to anything and the sky dish clearly isn't aligned correctly as we cannot receive the sports package we have paid for, I have had sky out to it but they will not touch the dish as it was not installed by them.
We were billed for ground rent in dec 06 by persimmon which we paid. We are now being billed again by the management company - i have disputed this and it has been going on since October 2007 - persimmon have told me to 'sort it out yourself with the management company' The management company told me 'you need to speak to persimmon, they asked us to bill you on their behalf'
We were told that the roads on our estate would be complete by dec 2006 but they took until dec 2007. I had to replace the tyre on my new car when it was 8 days old, we have had to replace the windscreens on both cars due to driving over white gravel/stones every day. Persimmon have not even responded to my letter - one day a contractor said, don't worry we'll be done in 2 weeks, 6 weeks later he told me none of the roads had been laid right and were all being dug up. I work nights and the diggers have woken me up after 3 hours sleep every day for a year.
Our front door has a video intercom and we can press a button to buzz our guests in so that we don't have to go down stairs but it doesn't work. The front door has an arrester that is so tight it slams the door shut so hard it wakes up the downstairs tennant when i get in from work - i try to be quiet but it isn't possible - there's not handle on the inside of the door - if i don't let it shut with a bang then I can't shut it at all so it blows in the wind.
The list goes on and on - can anyone tell me what I should do? The letters i've sent are endless and nobody has even acknowledged them
I am getting close to losing my mind - I feel very stressed out and don't know who to turn to. I would like to resolve all these issues but it is becoming too much for me to cope with.
