Tolerance Levels - Floors

hi - can anyone advise me on the acceptable tolerance level for floors ? Over a 1m level, my bedroom floor is out by 8mm - Its a new Persimmon Home in the North East

Bad news I am afraid, the tolerances are only recommendations. The guidelines for floors from the NHBC state:

Level of floor
Maximum 4mm out of level per metre for floors up to 6m
across, and maximum 25mm overall in any other case.
Flatness of floor
Maximum deviation from a 2m straight edge with equal
offsets should be as follows:
- for finished floors +/-5mm
- for unfinished floors (concrete, screed etc.) +/-8mm.
