Anyone know what this is ???

We found what we can only describe as a silicone sealant tube holding up our shelf in the kitchen cupboard anyone else had this?? Can post a pic at the moment forum wont allow it

Also can we complain about the fact that our internal door between the garage and the kitchen is letting in a draft all the way down the door frame and the fact that the internal doors havent been sanded down by the lock and our now sticking.

The other problem we had with the wall on the stairs still hasnt been rectified and now 4 independant builders are unsure how they are going to fix it as they have used the bedroom door frame as a support rather than using the correct joice anyone know if this is ok or not??

The door between the kitchen a garage should be a firedoor, hence no draft at all.
