How long have we got to snag??

We've just moved into our new home. On completion day we were met by the site manager who showed us around. When we asked who we should speak to as regards snagging he told us that our snagging time had elapsed. The build was finished November 2007 and he said that you only have 6 months from this time to complete any snagging??!!

Does anyone know if this is true?? How can we do any snagging if we're not in the property?? Someone else told us that we have 2 years from date of moving into a new build??

Any information would be greatly appreciated as we have a small snaggin list and would like to know where we stand before handing it to them.

You have two years assuming that you have an NHBC warranty. It is clearly stated in the warranty docs, show them to the site manager next time you see him.
