 |  Contacting NHBC
I've been in my Stewart Milne house for 9 weeks, and a fault I reported with the central heating hasn't been fixed. I reported this verbally at that time. I wrote to the builder 4 weeks ago, but still not resolved. What can I do? Are solicitors any help?  |

It is always worth confirming all conversations in writing via registered post and have someone with you to act as a witness if needed. first, tell the builder in writing that you have given them four weeks to deal with the situation and if they do not resolve it within 5 working days you will be contacting the NHBC. Alternatively, you could get it fixed yourself and claim the money back through moneyclaim online - take proper legal advice if you go down this route. I hope this helps Tony

Tony Thanks for your reply. Just mentioning contacting my solicitors to their customer care seems to be having some effect, although no-one has knocked at the door yet. I can but hope.....:dry: |
