    Default Snagging Deadline

We moved into my new George Wimpey home at the end of August 2006. We had our familiarisation visit on the morning of the day of completion and told in no uncertain terms it was not a snagging visit. We then had our 7 & 28 day visits where we handed over a page of snags. We are sure there are many things we have not picked up as we are not professionals. Does anyone know if we could use the snag checklist now and hand in findings or is it too late 3 months down the line? Sometimes feel a bit intimidated by such a big company.

    Hi,

You can hand in a snagging list at any time in the first two years of your warranty period. These are the NHBC rules. If you get no response within a reasonable period of time you can take your complaint to the NHBC resolution service. However, 'reasonable' to them might be longer than you expect.

    I hope this helps

If you are having an issue with your new build, maybe the BBC's Dominic Littlewood can help.

The BBC's hugely popular Don't Get Done, Get Dom is back for a new series.
