Hi,
There is a height difference of 18mm over 3m in my kitchen floor. The floor starts to run out of level in the middle of the floor and drops by 18mm and levels off again at the door into the hall. If I allowed them to level the floor then it would mean there is a step change in floor level from the kitchen to the hall.
They have offered to bring in concrete grinders to try to lower the higher bit of the kitchen and lay a leveling compound to raise the lower part. I dont fancy workmen with concrete grinders in a new fittted kitchen!
Have any of you experienced similar problems with your floors. Also, do you think that I am over reacting, maybe 18mm is not that much, but I do feel the change.
Would be good to have some opinions.
Steve.
You may be able to live with it, but the problem is what happens if a buyer, or a buyer's surveyor notices it in the future?
It is similar to Kelly's NHBC complaint
Personally, I would let them try to fix it, but you are correct they will probably create additional snags in the process.
Cheers,
Tony
