    Default Electrical Fittings

Hi, I am due to move into my new house at the end of june. When I visitited the house this weekend I notice that 80% of the electrical fittings did not fit flush against the wall, there was a gap of 1-2mm's. Is this something that I can class as a snag and asked to fixed or am I just being very picky. And advice would be greatfully recieved

I would recommend getting the snagging checklist from this site, on electrical sockets the checklist does say ...

Check that switches and sockets are securely attached to the wall.

The checklist is excellent and only £14.99 so well worth getting and includes everything you need to check.

    hi there

yep they should fit tight to the wall.. other wise they will move around as you use them,,

either the spark has not tightend them up or the back box is proud of the finished wall..

i am an electrician but dont work on development sites

    hope this helps
