New Home Snagging

We have been told by our developer (Bovis Homes) that since the NHBC survey has been done and their own internal snagging review has been performed that we cannot complete our own snagging. Apparently this is not the done thing since the NHBC survey came in in the last year or so.

Is this really the case?

This is absolute rubbish, you can and should snag your house on a regular basis before you move in and at regular intervals in the first two years of the warranty

It is not the case and their snagging is not adequate - have a look at some of the photos on this site. If necessary, get your solicitor involved who will be able to get you access prior to completion. Try to get them to put this policy in writing, you can then take it to the press who will have a field day.
