Well anyone who reads this will know about snagging and terrible housebuilders. But has anyone ever beaten the builders? Gained compensation for time of work in order for them to rectify faults? For inconvienance/stress? Has anyone ever won? How did you do it?
If anyone has had any dealings with persimmon homes/charles church in connection with snagging and poor service then please lets hear from you :?:
If you use a genuine "Snagging" company to log defects which either don't comply with building regs or NHBC regs, you will then be in a very strong position from which to start negotiations. I have knowledge of David Wilson Homes paying out; 1. The cost of the inspection report. 2. The loss of income from taking time off to allow access for trades. 3. One off payments as gestures of goodwill for all the stress and inconvenience caused. I own an inspection company in Scotland now but have previously worked as Customer Services Manager for various national builders like David Wilson Homes, Wimpey, Henry Boot etc. Good luck, just remember you are the innocent party in all of this and as such any reasonable, indentifiable costs you have incurred through someone elses fault should be recoverable in a court of law!
