It's been 2 years now since we moved in and they haven't finished the road. Absolute joke. The sales people also lie so don't believe anything they tell you. The house we bought had so many shortcuts it was dangerous. One guy who came to fit our fire nearly blew up the whole street because they had put the gas pipe in the wrong and frankly dangerous place. Next door found their gas pipe sitcking out from behind the frame of their door and it had ruptured just from the door being closed.
Don't buy a Chelford homes house. Very, very bad idea.

hi we live at number 6...ill leave it to yourelves to wpork out were that is. Has abnyone had the little gimpy scouse guy come round and COMPLETLY speak over you as if he knows what hes going on about?...you know the little guy that you call when you tell them if you would like boiler on yourgarden in the next thirty minutes as its not worked for the last two weeks and wer using the emersion, sorry for spelling, as its the only sure fire way of heating the house and water constantly...oh yeah the boilers are great works all the time....and no were not the only ones with the problem, nxt door have it, they have two kids and came round asking us as tyhe chelford really helpfull people werent there..suprise suprise, and theres more...does anyone else have the same drainage issues as us...showers becoming baths when your in them as the plug drain cant handle the water, down stairs toiletts that block constantly..drains that when you lift the lid on them thers a vacum of air rushes out and the sewage crap whatever rushes away...hey presto you can use your toilett again!...the best as i say though is the loevely little scouse guy...no offence scousers...you ring the site and after what feels like decades they come out to you to see about your faulty boiler that has since been condemmed by a outside company btw and openly stated that " i wouldnt use that piece of crap if i was payed to"..you tell the guy in question its not my house its my then fiancees...so what does he do...yeah you guessed it looks right over the woman and carrys on speaking to you even when you have told him that you dont know anything about the house and its your fiancees..and he still runs the taps saying the water will come hot in a minute...of course it will as the bloody emersion is runnning!..its what we use to heat the shoddy house with...its the end of summe now and its still running!....ok rant over with. You give someone 150,000 plus for one of the most important things in your life asides from kids and anything else you dont expect after 2,3years to be wating for things to be finished and boilers to be breaking down every other month...do chelford care do they shite...they simply dont even speak to you were we live and its not far from all the other winsdor gardens complaints there is no street lights at all so whe you go out to work on a dark morning you cant see a thing...NOT A THING..there has also been houses broken into on the estate..yes crime happens everywear before anyone jumps on that, but surely it doesnt happen so much if street lights are errected, theres no speed signs and ive seen at least one girl in a nce shiny silver peagueot, sory bad spelling again, speeding round. kids including my own play on the corner of the estate and play very nicely might i add, what would chelford do if god forbid an accident happened. As you can see this is slightly more than just snagging but all the same its aimed a chelford and it really needs sorting out soon....PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OF CHELFORD THEY LIE TO YOU AND WILL NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS.

| chelford and the amazing secratary that has so many excuses
hi thought i would follow up from yesterday, my next door neighbour is having similliar issues regarding sewage crap ect flowing out out places it shouldnt. However she and my wife have both been in conversation with the lovey "rachel?" she seems to be a PA come secretary come voice woman on chelford come whatever else is on the job list for the day. Should you request a phone meeting with the head of chelford your are passed off with " i dont have hi diary but i will get you an appointment when i get it" sop you duly ask when is the next appointment.."i cant find his diary and i dont have it"...what a peach. In my wifes mail response we were told in no uncertain terms that you HAVE NOT TO DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM BUYING A HOME OF CHELFORD..apparantly this is i your claus when you buy the property of them. Does anyone watch these posts? i only ask as it seems quite a while since they were posted on, if they are and if people really wnat to do something about there property get in touch please maybe if theres more of us and spoke out in toghether and "cornered" them it might work better....sorry if that sounded bit to braveheartish

Hi All
Back again to say that its been four long years now and my problems are still here with Chelford Homes. We are on a 'live' site near Blackpool and they have never sorted any snaggs for us despite loads of calls and letters. They told me that they would sort my snagging out but later informed me after another letter that my 2 year period was up and I know longer qualifies for any snags to be rectified, and now to add, they are building more new houses down the road and the mess on the road is unaceptable. During dry weather the road resembles an african dust track and if its raining it looks like a mud slide. I know that my neighbour has complained to the site salesman but nothing has been done. They don't give a damn, they've got your money and are running. Quick to request ground rent though and this year there was a threat of additional costs if not paid in time. The main road through the estate has just had its three trench crators re-done, but they will be as dangerous as they were in about 3 months cos they never do a proper job. A neighbour had a blockage in the drains, which was affecting ours, a few months back and he had to get someone in and discovered that there is hardly any fall on the drains, most shockingly though 7 houses go into one small chamber so there is bound to be problems.
Everything is just so shoddy. Whats bad is the couples that you see looking at the new houses and i've taked to a good few and told them my personal opinion. I will never buy a Chelford Home again, they should be politicians, promise everything and deliver nothing.
Its discraceful.

Hi Rogue
[I] read your thread and lmao when i read about the clause in our contracts about no being allowed to discourage people from buying their properties. What a joke, Chelfords or any company cannot by law dictate to anyone what you are allowed to say to another person. I would love to see them try to enforce this because I would have them in court of human rights quick sharp. I've told people my opinion before now and there's not a damn thing they can do.
still chucklin

Its discraceful. | Hi MAH
Did you advise the builder of all the defects and snags that are still an issue within the first 2 years.....and if so do you have a written record?

Hi SteveF
Yes the person from Chelfords walked round the inside and outside of our house on the day of completion, in fact she insisted on unlocking the door and opening it for us even though it was now our house and we would have liked to do that.
A piece of A4 paper written on both sides in normal sized writing was created on that day and we got a copy.
In fact I was so appaulled by the plaster finish it was noted on each room and talking to the site manager who has now been sacked he told me that he sacked the plasterer after he did our house because his work was unacceptable. How does that work then because surely they would rectify it if it wasn't up to the 'quality' that they promise on their website.
I am still warning potential customers to stay away.
