I was hoping that other people on this Forum may have had the same issue as I currently have with a damp patch developing in the celiing directly below my Dormer window at the stop of the stairs.
This will be the fourth occasion that Wimpey have come to fix this and on each other occasion they have said that it was due to a build up of condensation and a lack of insulation, which they claim to have fixed. They are now hiring a cherry picker to check whether there is water coming in from outside.
The property is three years old so you can imagine the hassle of getting Wimpey to return to investigate, but I heard from one of the original men on site that they had a host of problems with these window installations at other sites and had to replace all the dormer windows on the affected houses.
Please let me know if you have had a similar experience and what was done to fix it.
Thanks
