If i remember correctly, mechanical items such as a door locking system is only warrantied for 1 year. That is the case if you have it fitted on your new build property or purchasing a system for an older property.
Have you checked to see if the door is warped through water ingress or 'dropped' therefore the locking mechanism won't catch? Is it a wood front door? Have you checked to see that it is sealed undernath?
