BBC 1’s Cowboy Trap is returning for a second series and we are looking for people across the UK whose lives and properties are currently in a state of chaos or disruption thanks to ‘cowboy’ workmen.

This is your chance to get the job finished properly – and call to account the builders, plumbers, electricians, roofers or joiners responsible for the problem.

i received an email from them yesterday saying they had tried to call but have the wrong number... I've corrected it so will hopefully hear back from them soon.

hi, watched program recently, dont know wether this is sort of thing your looking for but basically december 2009 i got new windows & doors, various problems, complained & complained, got abuse & given false promises again & again,went thru citizens advice,trading standards & still got nowhere as company requested to be struck off, although i put in objections with companies house, they opened up a new company new name under different managent but same guy still running things, there was actually an overlapp when i was speaking to him on one number from company i dealt with him thru & when i phoned new company to see if it was him & it was, so i know he meant to treat me this way & give false promises, never intended to fix anything, apparently this is what they do, wind down one company & open another under diff name & management but still same people running it, guy i dealt with is actually been wellknown for doing this to people unknown to me at the time unfortunatley, dont know if newer company still on go or if changed again, basically he has to be stoppped, put to shame, make people aware, if someone had done this before it could have prevented what happened to me & probably many other people, he has also been up at court before due to this, cause company i went thru was requesting to be struck off i was told no point in taking things further as i wouldnt get anything back & be further out of pocket, didnt know wether i could pursue him instead of company although i think he will have been clever to tie up all loose ends, how can he get away with this, basically i paid 4300.00, don t know if this is enough of an amount that you would be interested but im not only out of 4300.00, i have suffered emotionly, & didnt stay in house because of this, i dont even know with work they done would have caused any other damage unknown to me, i also have a toddler & worry for his safety which cleary guy i dealt with wasnt concerned about at all when i pointed things out & also pointing out i had a toddler which he knew anyway on his first visit to my house, how can he sit there see my son & still go ahead & conn me, its not only 4300.00 i am out of pocket its the money i would be also to get things fixed & replaced, which i cannot believe i should have to pay for this twice under any circumstances, i paid for it once & was given a 10 year guarantee which didnt even last me 4 months, not to mention the emontional stress & state i have been in since, dont even know the last time i felt really haappy because of this, this whole ordeaal has totally threw me & its alot of money to me, he has to be stopped although doubt he will ever get comuppance, anyway thanks for listening & wait to hopefully hear, thanks, laura x

Concreting done by M & R Fencing of Downlands Avenue, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex said he could concrete did it last year started to lift called in Trading Standards, the man came back and patched it up left other bits that needed to be done and it looks awful two different colours of concrete now needs to be pulled up altogether and started again cost £1,800 to have it done. Refused to give me a receipt came up with all different excuses why he could not give me a receipt.
