dishwasher socket

I recently moved into my new bellway town house. I told the developer initially to not leave a gap for a dishwasher as i hadnt bought one yet but would be later on. Ive since tried to put mine in, plumbing all there, and isolator switch on the other wall along with the cooker and fridge.

Removed the cabinet where the dishwasher should go and...no socket. looked behind both of the adjacent ones and still no socket.

Should this be there? Bellway say because i didnt ask for it it wasnt put in, its an extra. if thats the case then why have they put all the other sockets in and the plumbing. Plus theyve put sockets for washing machine and tumble dryer so why not a dishwasher?

Had this with Redrow 2 years ago.
There was a plug socket behind where the dishwasher should go, but when you took the plate off there were no wires.
Had to run a lead from the washing machine plug to the diswasher plug and change the face plates to spurs.

sounds like the site foreman forgot to tell the electrician to put one in...would not think it would be an extra..
Should not be a major problem though

I am an electrician by the way..
