Default slipped roof tiles - 2 year old house

Snagging forumites,

Hi there. I am seeking your help and comments regarding a minor issue we have with a 2 year old Barratt house that we own and live in.

I've noticed a couple of the roof tiles (clay) appear to have slipped. Whilst it's not major and the roof doesn't appear to be leaking, it is a bit annoying considering the house is only 2 years old.

Am I covered under NHBC for such slipped tiles. Am I right in thinking that I am within my rights to phone Barratt's customer care office in our region and request that the roofing contractors attend to rectify the problem ?

I am keen to receive your advice and thoughts before I contact Barratt in the first instance.

Thanks

Slipped tiles can be lethal .esp if you live in a three storey home. It is reasonable to expect roof tiles to stay put for more than two years. The problem is you are outside the snagging period and are in the structural warranty period. Roof tiles are not considered structural, but it is still worth complaining. Did you report is within the two year period?
