Well, still waiting! Renelec advise they faxed their report to Persimmon on 22nd May and I had an email from Persimmon on 5th June saying it was in the post to us - still waiting.........

In the meantime, I found out from Renelec that the radiators fitted are all Delonghi Compac so looked up their kW's and then worked out what kW is required for each room. Only ONE radiator, the one in the Study, is big enough! Also sent this research in to Persimmon. Still waiting for a response......................

Will let you know if I ever get a response...........

I have waited for six years for Persimmon to admit the boiler and some radiators are undersize without success.

Ah-ha, well, after only 6 months of negotiation, DHD have reported that the bedroom radiators are smaller than specified on their schedule, so Persimmon have agreed to upgrade all four of them to double convector - result! We're also having the upstairs room thermostat moved from the airing cupboard wall to inside bedroom one on the dressing room wall. So, all I can say is, don't give up! Good luck!

That's great news and well done - now it is time to tell the neighbours ; ) It is absolutely disgusting that you have to fight so hard to get your home finished to standard. This industry can not be trusted to self-regulate...

Tell the whole country as well.

I totally agree that it is absolutely disgusting that individuals have to fight so hard - but therein lies the problem - how many are prepared to fight?????? If I had 1p for everytime I have seen buyers giving up........

Times they are a changing though. Yes you will be bullied, intimidated and threatened (I speak from personal experience through the problems with my own property and dealings with house builders in general) but it is all a big smoke screen.
