Having moved in a £240,000 persimmon home in December 2006 - the whole experience has been somewhat of a stressful time - I would love to hear peoples comments on some of my 'snagging' faults as they call them. However, given some serious nature of the faults I don't see how this could have been checked properly by the NHBC or Electrical Contractors, etc. Make your own mind up. All issues have been documented and sent to directors with complaints but you get nothing just the site foreman to come and see you. I would love to hear your comments and what you would recommend that I do.

3 Damaged Kitchen Wine Rack
4 Damaged Kitchen Cupboards
5 Damaged Kitchen Plinth
6 Kitchen Lino Laid on Rubble/Glass – Damaged
7 Kitchen Patio Doors Not Sealed At Bottom
8 Kitchen Fridge Door – Out of Alignment
9 Dishwasher Not Working – No Electric
10 Living Room Front Window Seals Not Fitted
11 Skirting Board/Carpet Not Fitted Correct in Room
12 Plaster Finish Untidy Above Room Doors
13 Hole in ceiling near downstairs toilet
14 Water Leak from Bedroom 2 Ensuite – Requires Hall Ceiling to be painted
15 No Door Stoppers fitted as originally indicated would be included

17 3 Pin Low Watt Bulbs faulty – Not Informed about these special fittings and all lampshades purchased would not fit with these!

31 Family Bathroom Toilet Water Won’t Turn Off
32 Bedroom 2 – Ensuite – Get Sewage Smell
33 Telephone Extensions not working
34 Bedroom 2 – Door Handle Sticks
35 Staircase cracks – 2cm or wider
36 Bedroom 4 – Door does not lock/close properly
37 TV points not labelled in loft / No Power
38 No Fence between houses at front of Garage

It sounds like you were shoehorned - i.e. moved into a house not ready for habitation to meet their financial targets. This is very common the the end of quarters.

You need to escalate this to the NHBC in the first instance. Then it is legal action. Have you seen the requests for case studies from ITV/BBC. This works too.
