Standard of Finish, Kingsbrook, Deanshanger
We moved into a new Persimmon home in February this year, the general standard of the finish to all interior aspects is of a poor standard.
Having made a lot of complaints and having visits by the Construction Director, the head of customer care and the contracts manager. (Ed. Names removed)
They all stated that the standard of the finish was acceptable and what do you expect from a volume house builder. We don't decorate just put 2 coats on the walls and gloss the woodwork.
In their brochure it states that they pride themselves on quality and craftsmanship.
How can they make such a claim when the gloss paint has runs in every door frame and skirting, some of which isn't even painted at all. The emulsion is so thin that you can see through to the plaster and you can notice the white where they slapped it on the ceilings and part way down the walls.
We have had so many problems with the standard of finish to this house, Persimmon have spent at least 6 days bodging and touching up so it now looks like a patchwork quilt and we have another 2 days of tem repiaring what they did on their last visit.
How can we get this resolved once and for all.
