Colin, you very clearly do not read my posts properly, i have stated on many occasions that i do NOT work for any developer, never have done, and never will do.

and i feel i do have something to contribute, basically thats an opinion, which i feel i am allowed, just because i dont entirely agree with all posters on here, does not mean i can't cast my view, if you do not like my posts, then dont read them, i am not forcing you to. :P

tonyw,

I do read your posts properly and have found that many are very similar to the standard body swerving responses given by builders, which makes me think you are one of them. If you are not then I apologise.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion as are we all. However the majority of people using this site are looking for help, advice or just even to talk to people in a similar situation. The last thing they need is someone telling them to 'get a life'. We do need opposing views but it would be good if they were informed and based on fact wherever possible.

Developers rely on the fact that the average house buyer only highlights minor snagging items and love those who don't get stressed out and just accept the remedial works the developer does. Unfortunately this practice only serves to undermine the buyers very limited rights even more.

I have to read your posts before deciding whether I like them or not, or am I just being stupid. You may notice that I have replied to very few of your posts whether I have liked them or not. The only reason for this response is because your post of 2006/05/12 16:14 was so far off the mark in every comment made. Remember I was quoting directly from Stormy's post and using his/her analogies.

Please, let's stick with the programme and get back to the thread in hand which is Persimmon Homes.

To anyone out there thinking about Court action - GO FOR IT ! but make sure you get a good solicitor.

Up to 6 years after purchasing a new house, any defects are the responsibility of the builder. After 6 years you have to claim on the Builders Warranty.

Bought a brand new house in 1999 and 6 months after moving in, when the bad weather started - we had water coming in through the walls.

When you complain to the site staff, they say 'yeh yeh, we'll deal with it' and then that's the last you see of them; letters go unanswered, even solicitors letters.

Now after almost 7 years of trying everything humanly possible to get the stupid 'p--- ocks' to correct major structural defects - - -
don't bother with

No
Hope
Building
Cowboys - bin there - dunnit - got the T shirt

Now awaiting a Trial date.

Sympathy goes out to other people on the estate having similar problems.

I must agree Colin - your posts are much more useful than tonyw's.
