    Default 10 months later....

Well today is meant to be the 1st of 2 days doing the final snags....

So I've taken today off work, that's another day of annual leave I wont get back.

They sent some guy that had no idea what he was doing, got here at 8.30, had no materials & went to find them....came back with nothing.

I emailed Persimmon asking what was going on & was told there had been a mistake. Another one!!

Basically, the guy had to go & pick up the materials, he left at 10am, he's been 50 mins so far.

So by the time he gets back & starts the work plus his lunch break & tea breaks he'll have done f'all.

    I'm not happy.

Tomorrow they're sending a Plumber & Tiler. Lets hope they turn up.

So, 1st day was a bit of a disaster. Simcot guy came back with the materials & took until 5pm to fit a replacement kitchen unit, could have just changed 2 sections but instead took all afternoon cutting the new one to size.

The cust service manager from Persimmon also came round, not quite sure why as he didnt actually do anything other than answer a few minor questions & ignore a few questions about things that SHOULD have been done.

Day 2 went a bit more smoothly, the simcot guys got all the work done that they had on their job sheet & also went round putting builders cork around the electric points & switch plates plus tidied up some of the bad workmanship of the Persimmon builders.

However, Persimmon sent a woman round to drop off the replacement tiles, she was VERY rude to my partner. When asked if she would be happy with that quality she told my partner she wouldnt have chosen those tiles in the first place!!! & then said we shouldnt have those tiles any way as they are (apparently) not on the choice list...funny coz they were one of the choices we were given.

She then said the border should be in the middle of the tiles rather than on top, which we requested & expected to get but the tiler didnt do so we've been stuck with them.

BTW, the tiling is some of the worst I've seen, the grout is missing in places & is lumpy, I mean there is bits in the actual grout in the main bathroom & en suite. The border isn't straight & hasnt been finished off very well at all.

We previously told them we weren't happy with it & they sent a tiler to regrout it, we said we wanted it all re-done & they've basically refused to do that.

Just another 2 days leave between my partner & I that we have taken so that Persimmon can put right things that should have been done when we bought the house!

A couple of months ago I took a day off for work to be carried out, I was expecting the cupboard to be changed then, sadly no, I booked the day off & stayed in all day only for a guy to come round at 4pm & fit some missing clips to the cupboard hinges. They could have sent them to me & I could have fitted them!

    Ridiculous.
    Pathetic.
    Time Wasting.
    Rude.
    Useless.
    Money Grabbing.
Con Merchants (They charged us 10k more than next doors exact same house on the same day!)

Just a few (clean) descriptions of the head...!

Also they are very good at making promises then breaking them

and changing the plans at the very very last minute to shaft people with things they dont want with the only choice being to pull out at a very late point in the buying or put up with it :/

took them 9 months to replace a fuse box cover that was broken by the site manager on the day of the hand over...
