** FLUE INSTALLATION IN ROOF SPACE **

I recently had cause to call out a gas engineer to rectify a problem I have with an Ideal Isar HE30 combination boiler. The device would periodically show the "LF" error code and shut down with consequentially no water or heating. Eventually, after 3 unsuccessful fault finding visits, the problem was traced to a poorly installed loft space flue extension and the boiler declared "AT RISK". I would advise anyone with a similar installation on the Persimmon/Abbey Heights development in Malmesbury to check their system! Note the use of insulation tape in stead of proper flue tape, no mounting brackets and the way the joints haven't been correctly prepared!
