Persimmon / Westbury Homes

Hi Everyone,

I've run into some problems with my house (now 5 years old) which was Westbury before they were bought out by Persimmon.

The overall finish of the house seemed okay to start with, but now I have a defect in the entire house where the drywall lining tape is coming away on every wall and join in every room. After several professional opinions and reports, all are in agreement that it was a poor job/wrong tape etc and it all needs remedying...

Does anyone else have a similar experience of this with Westbury/Persimmon Homes (or just homes in general)? Does anyone know if Persimmon acquired responsibility for these houses from Westbury or whether Westbury still exists (they are mentioned on their website, but as part of a slightly different branding)?

The NHBC have the case on file but say I'm not covered due to their plastering only covering "wet applied" plaster.

Any advice or experiences would be great!
