Default Lies, more lies, changing plans, and a disgusting site.

Welcome to my Persimmon experience.Get ready for this.

Bought in june 2008, had no initial problems in first hour, was very happy but boy oh boy have things got bad after that first hour

Perismmon-

1/ Lied about housing association and where they were moving, needless to say they moved next door to my house.

2/ Lied about Gates on the main entrance to the site

3/ lied about 6 month inspection which neither I or any of our neighbours ever had

4/ Lied about visitors parking spaces

5/Lied about flats and who would be living in the flats

6/ Lied about the tree lined streets-- they stuck what can only be described as a few branches on my front garden which incdientally when i tried to dig up found almighty amount of rubbish ranging from mcdonalds bags to plumbing invoices to plastic dolls to condoms.

OK so there are some lies, then comes the property

1/ Found a huge rusty metal spike sticking out of my patio slabs, dangerous and completely overlooked.

2/ The concrete by my french doors was smashed, by poor workmanship hammering in carpet gripper. Upon my home inspection i was told the small indent in the carpet was a 'design fault' This was repaired but not even a sorry from persimmon.

3/ Cracked tiles on my garage roof

4/ Cracked overflow pipe

5/ Faulty garage door

6/One of the large diggers that constantly sprays mud over my car and windows reversed into a lampost and damaged my paving, it was just left until i complained and it was put right. Had i not complained it would still be cracked and dangerous now.

7/ Left a skip full of junk opposite my house every night debris ends up my drive, and i mean every night. Now upstanding housing association flat tenants are putting their food in there, a warm welcome for rats and foxes and yet mroe mess.

8/ The whole site is a mess whenever i get visitors this get's mentioned.

So all, what can we do about this? Try customer service, same old clichets come out, 'we know how you feel', 'im sorry you feel this way', 'i understand what you're going through'. I just hate to see what will happen next, maybe a family of goats will move in, hope so they may improve the cleanliness of the site.

Im sure others have had bad experiences, i wanted to share mine with you- if only we could do somethign about the lies and miss selling-cos once they've got your money they don't want to know. I would add that ive spoken to the managing director in my area and he is the most arrogant, two faced smug c*** i've ever spoken to. Needless to say when the residents and i asked for a meeting to discuss the lies it was flatly declined.

Wow you sound like you have had the same experience as me, Persimmon Homes are a joke and should not be allowed to sell houses! Their customer service is apalling, they are rude, they lie, they don't give a toss once they have your deposit! Everytime I see some poor unsuspecting buyer wander on to site to have a look at a new house I feel like sending them away with my story!

Out of interest does anyone know if the gardens they give you are supposed to be top soiled? Ours is a mess of dirty old builders crap and mud, no top soil at all...?

Our 'Persimmon' laid lawn has a layer of bad quality earth, not top soil, under the earth is slabs of concrete, bricks, branch's, bits of iron, crisp packets, tesco carrier bags etc. Our lawn is dead in places, it is so bad around the side (Like a swamp) I had to gravel it. The customer care manager said the reason our grass is dead is because our puppy wee'd on it! What a joker. We even have old carrier bags in the branch's of tall tree's surrounding our house. Persimmon have no work ethic or pride in what they do. I have told them today that if I do not get a satisfactory response by the end of the day, I will take legal action against them. Which I am going to do. I am going to attempt to recover the costs of replacing the lawn to a decent standard and my costs to date.

Anyone thinking of buying a home built by the cowboys Persimmon, don't do it!!!!

You would think that when you got into the house the problems would start to go away but you have only just started.
HATE Persimmon homes and 100% agree that no one should buy from them!!
