Default Anyone reserved at Persimmons new site in Dagenham?

How exciting, reserved a three bed house in Persimmons new site called EVOLUTION in Dagenham...all sounds exciting, but reading all the horror stories here makes me think if its the right decision.
Anyone know anything about this new development? I am yet to instruct solicitors and we are also buying with Homebuy Direct, so it was a good option for us, at least on paper...

Default An owner at Evolution development

I reserved mine also in November and moved in just before Christmas. I found this site today and I guess you are either an owner already or decided not to go ahead, so no point of sharing observations about the development.

Nevfree, me and my partner are currently purchasing a house on the Homebuy Direct scheme. How are you finding working with Orbit? So far my dealings with both Orbit and Persimmon have been good, I've had a few little nagging issues with Orbit - they wanted more info from me and my partner and it took them a while to give us the go ahead (It was actually far easier for me to get a mortgage!).

As for this website, from what I've read (most threads in the Persimmon sub forum) are fairly construction and helpful but not everyones experience will be the same. I also think some people have gone overboard in sharing but i can sympathise to a degree as they've invested time and money into purchasing a house.

However instead of telling people "Not to use Persimmon" give them pointers on how to be more careful. I, for example, don't have the luxury of having a couple of developments to pick from and i certainly don't want to wait to see.

As a 1st timer buying a house, the advice given to me which I'll mention to you is - Just remain cautious, make sure you keep involved in the process, remember your the customer, make sure you do the snagging lists and try to enjoy this chapter in your life.
