    Default Gardens

I have a rear garden that is on two tiers, the first tier is about 6 inches above the patio however the second tier is some nine feet above the first tier on top of a perma crib wall. when we first moved in the site manager assured us that steps would be provided for us to access the top tier but none have been fitted. I have a plan that i think show steps should be there however the builder is saying no there is not supposed to be steps there how on earth am i supposed to access the top tier? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Hi jarvis, Have you had a ny luck with this?

9 feet is a huge difference, if anything i would say there should be some sort of railing system to stop someone falling from that height and access should of course be provided. Are you able to post a picture of it and the plan you mention.

    all the best

    Hi nem39esis
Haven't had any luck so far in getting this resolved by the builder, there are some railings on the top to stop anyone falling but they have not given me a way of getting up there. would post the plan and picture but not sure how to.

Id contact their customer service department again. If you have a plan showing steps, query this, ask for a meeting and for someone to explain the intended use of that area of garden.

have contacted customer care and they came out had a look at the plan but said that the steps on the plan don't relate to that area of the garden kept quoting measurements etc tri to argue the case but felt i was banging my head against a brick wall typical builders

Have spoken to our MP and Local Councillor both agreed that steps should be provided, the MP has now taken up the issue and contacted the builders awaiting a response.
