Default NHBC Key Stage Inspections

Hoping we have some stand up NHBC Inspectors checking in on the form......

I am looking for some definative advice as to what checks are made at the Superstructure Keystage Inspection on timber frame dwellings in Scotland.

I.E. what do the NHBC Inspectors check for when the NHBC are not carrying out the Building Control inspections.

They check that the structure has been built to NHBC standards. What they see and check varies depending on when they do the inspection.

They probably wont see, brick ties, fire barriers, lintels and fixings and perhaps sound insulation.

If they "trust" the site manager/housebuilder they may not even do a key stage inspection, especially if they are busy chasing around doing Building Control Inspections!
