 |  8 year old house - problems with window sealing.
Hi, I have recently moved into a house which has an NHBC certificate, whilst cleaning the windows I noticed that the cilicone around some of the windows has shrunk and there are gaps around the window, in those particular rooms its very noticably colder. Also some of the window frames underneath are filled with foam filler and nothing else, I suspect that the guy who used to live in the house wasn't too fussed about this, but I was wondering if after 8 years I could get this looked into. A long shot I know, but if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Regards Steve |

Hi Steve, I am afraid the NHBC warranty is less useful than you might imagine and from years 2-10 it only covers structural issues. Tony
