We had a ‘bespoke home’ built by a local builder, the house developed faults within days of moving in. Water pouring through ceiling gas fire catching alight, we have been in the house about 2 years and according to our surveyor it will cost at least 100 thousand to put the faults right and we have been overcharged by at least 98 thousand. To make matters worse the builder lives next door and does not want to take any responsibility, he is very arrogant and aggressive, so we are getting nowhere fast. He flouts planning regulations and gets away with a considerable amount. I would really like you to take this on as this builder has been doing this for years and getting away with it because it is so expensive to hire legal help.
