In 2005 we undertook a self build project to build our own family home. We used a timber frame company called Potton to designed, manufactured and built the timber frame for our home.

After living in the house for around six months (early 2006) we noticed a number of large gaps and cracks appearing in the house. We have expert reports that show Potton did not design the house properly (it was a unique/bespoke design) which is causing the roof to spread, floors to sag and walls to push outwards.

Potton have consistently denied responsibility for the problems and for the past four years we have been involved in a legal battle with them which has cost us our life savings.

Our home cannot get a structural warranty (which Potton promised) which means it is effectively unmortgagble, we are litigants in person having to fight a huge multinational company (Potton are part of the Kingspan group) who have unlimited legal resource.

Because Potton are clearly to blame for the issues with our home they are desperate to avoid this case going to Court. This has resulted in them interfering with our expert and now they are contacting our mortgage company with a view to forcing them to withdraw our mortgage – effectively making us bankrupt.

We have nowhere else to turn, we face loosing everything, please help.
