Default cavity wall insulation

ok peeps

can someone please help me..

our new wainhome does not have any cavity wall insulation, but i really would like someone to point me in the right direction where i can find out if it is a requirement of the building regs..

Hi Zednine,

Cavity wall insulation is just one way of meeting the standards - or U-value.

Hi Tony

cheers for that,, but i need a degree in nucular physiscs to understand it:unsure:

end of the day all builders i know and work for put it in,, also redrow, who are building at the back of us put it in,

my building construction is.. 100mm concrete block rendered, 50mm cavity thermolite block,, 9mm plaster board... some of the outside walls are stone...

and its cold

Hi,

Sounds like you have a problem. Put your complaint in writing and send it to the builder. Give them a couple of weeks to respond. If they don't make an NHBC claim.
