Default New Home Kitchen layout

Hi

My husband and I are buying a new home from David Wilson Homes, and will exchange on Monday for a May completion (They have already plastered the house). I have looked at the Kitchen layout plan and am a bit perplexed as they seem to have put the eye level built-in double-oven right next to the refridgerator, is this normal as surely the heat and cold will battle against each other?

We are excited but expecting there to be a snagging list and are researching our rights etc so we know where we stand if/when things go wrong!
Thanks

Hi there
yep dont worry about that, it is done all the time these days.

the fridge and oven are well insulated so it is nearly impossible for them to have any effects on each other.

take your time on the walk round before your sign for the keys, we rushed ours and missed lots of snaggs and then they refused to put them right after, they said we accepted the house...

so dont be rushed...by the site manager

You can submit a snagging list at any time in the first two years if you have an NHBC warranty. They are pulling the wool over your eyes.

Make sure you have sent in your snagging list in writing and then make a claim using this site http://www.nhbc.co.uk/Claims/ClaimsOnline/.
