Exclamation Crack in new built floor

    Hi ,

We are buying a new property from David Wilson and are just 2 weeks away from completion. On a surprise visit to the property I found a long crack running across 20171110_151427.jpg

On questioning the builder simply refuted saying it's normal and happened because of unequal heat. The crack seems to run right through the middle of the room.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Tia

    Hi
A crack such as this is not unusual ...and acceptable under NHBC standards
Its caused by a lack of movement joints in floor slab ..there is a140 mesh in the slab to hold it all together ..so its only the surface thats cracking
