Yes I can confirm this. I am in the building materials industry. I have bee analysing our sales data and have found that new build demands are down by nearly 60% in the South East ( ther area that we cover ). This is most dissapointing as we were hoping for a reverse. Most of our materials are being suppied to schools and social housing projects. We will now have to be cautious with the stock market crash....... what next?

Stock market crash is around the corner. New homes starts are falling.
House builders are only building small first time buyer homes and social housing.
    Its all bad!

Not TW though. They made 88 million in the last half of last year and the end result is houses that subside or are riddled with so many faults it's cheaper to pull the house down and start again.
They are laughing all the way to the bank.

They may make money but it will never be cheaper to demolish a home, put the owners in alternative accommodation for six months and re build it, than it is to attempt numerous "repairs".

Apart from the cost it would become public knowledge and damage their reputation even more.

Too late. It is already public knowledge and when you have nearly 20 homes subsiding and 198 other properties affected by this then you have a serious, serious problem.

With so many homes affected the only thing to do would be a rebuild of the development. It would cost millions but would be better than drip fed problems over the next ten years or so.

Are they brave enough to "wipe their face" and make this decision?
    They get paid big bucks!
