why Elan Homes?

David McLean homes became Elan Homes in November 2008 after a management buy out.

I have found both incarnations of this company incredibly poor.

Having bought an Elan home and experienced their "customer care" I couldn't agree more !!!

I feel that elan have really struggled with getting this new company off the ground, Lets be thankful that we have elan homes and David mclean was not lost forever, too many builders have gone down the tubes over the last 10 years or so..I think you are looking at another 5 years or so before elan get things into place, its been a good year since elan was formed and our local site in stoke has only just resumed building work, So I think finances are tight.

Elan certainly have struggled and it would seem with good reason. I'd implore anybody to look at the standard of their building - talk to buyers who are already on sites and just see what you think after that. This is a shockingly poor company.

I don't know why anyone would get sentimental about the demise of a house builder!
David McLean went for a reason.
A management buy-out of the sticken company is unlikely to be any different. Same ol same ol.
