Default Inconsiderate Persimmon Homes

This thread discusses the Content article: Inconsiderate Persimmon Homes

If the situation doesn't improve tomorrow let me know, Children die on building sites every year and the site should be secure:

Building sites aren’t playgrounds

I doubt Persimmon Homes are a member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, but if they are you can complain to them. You can also complain to the local council, they may have imposed restrictions on noise and required the builder to clean the roads to a specific schedule.

I have spoke to the Health and Safety people today at our local Town Hall, and they are very understanding and also see the potential hazards. They have informed me that they will be looking into this immediately and hopefully should have someone from their office to come and look at the site this week.

Fingers crossed!

On our Charles Church / Persimmon site there is a public open space, which the builders had to create as a condition of planning consent, which is not suitable for children to use because of an unfenced open watercourse running across it. The grass was sown in March; then there was a dry spell and no-one watered it; then there were several frosts; and then heavy rain washed the seed away. Now, we've had a nasty letter telling us to stop the kids going on it (as if....) so that the grass can bind the quality topsoil they laid down . NB they don't specify what sort of quality - we would say 'poor'.
