Default Crest Nicholson Blog

This thread discusses the Content article: Crest Nicholson Blog

This seems to be becoming more common, if this happens you should involve your solicitor because as soon as you have exchanged contracts you have a 'legal interest' in the property.

It is also extremely short-sighted as a snagging inspection before completion will ultimately help identify more snags which can be dealt with before the customer moves in. The home buyer then moves into a property which is finished to a higher standard. Additionally, it makes the customer wonder what the developer has to hide, are they worried that a major defect will be found that will delay completion or give the buyer an excuse to pull out.

Anyway, this kind of policy is totally unacceptable, and should not be tolerated.

You can buy, but you can't look before you buy!!! How good is that?

Threaten to pull out of the sale if they will not let you or your snagging company enter the property prior to completion. The sheer fact that this will affect the housebuilders sales targets for the month will certainly generate a more positive response from them!
